| CHIPPENHAM CHURCHES |
 |
Welcome to Chippenham Churches Together.

|
| What you’ll find here is no more than an outline of what’s going on in Chippenham’s churches. We hope you’ll be encouraged to look further for items that interest you. In particular, please look at the boxes around this message. |
 |
These are being developed to promote christian work in the town. New to the spot is the guide to places where people can find quiet areas for prayer. There must be more to add. Please let us know if you want your church’s facilities included. We might ask if there’s scope for prayer ministry here. What do you think?

|
 |
| Items like this can be discussed at Forum, which meets regularly 3 times a year. Do come along to the next meeting at Station Hill Baptist Church on Tuesday 16th June at 7.30pm. At the same meeting we shall be able to meet the County Ecumenical Officer, Rev Kate Sax for the first time, as well as having a presentation on Christian Youth Work from Trevor Ranger. |
 |
| The success of the Lent Study Groups has yet to be assessed, but we know of some enthusiastic meetings where interpretations of Faith, Hope and Love were shared between christians from several different churches. At the end of this letter you’ll find a prayer from the Catholic tradition which was welcomed by all members of one group, which included, Catholic, Anglican, Methodist and URC people. |
 |
| We now look forward to Pentecost. The Methodist Circuit based in Chippenham is planning an open air celebration at Boyd's Farm in Gastard on the morning of Sunday May 31st to which all churches are invited. Not easy when many have service disciplines to be observed, but worshipping and working together is what CCT is all about. Let’s do what we can to swell the worship and witness together, as we did on Good Friday. |
 |
| God bless you all |

| | A PRAYER ---- Called to be a People of Hope

|
 |
 |
GOD OUR FATHER
Open the horizons
of our minds and hearts
so that we can see
what hope your call holds for us.

Pour out the overflowing gifts
of your Spirit
so that we, your Church
may become a people
of hope for our world.

We ask you this
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

Our Lady, Woman of Hope, pray for us

St Peter, Rock of Hope, pray for us

St Paul, Apostle of Hope, pray for us
